Illinois Green Industry Association

GardenIllinois is part of a national initiative to inspire people to plant more. This initiative was founded by the Illinois Green Industry Association (IGIA), inspired by the Plant-Something.org movement.  Green industry professionals that supported IGIA brought these resources to your fingertips to help you get your garden growing.

IGIA was a non-profit association founded in 1925, that existed to represent, promote, and protect nurseries, garden centers, and landscape professionals. In the spring of 2023, IGIA unified with the Illinois Landscape Contractors (ILCA) to strengthen the education opportunities, legislative and regulatory representation offered to members.

Illinois Landscape Contractors Association

Since 1959, ILCA has provided representation to the landscape industry by providing members with the resources needed to enhance their performance and ensure continued growth and success. The Association’s mission is to enhance the professionalism and expertise of members by providing leadership, education, representation, and services while promoting environmental awareness and the value of the landscape industry.  ILCA has pledged to serve as a forum for the free exchange of ideas among landscape contractors, their suppliers and the government, working together for a greener, more beautiful Illinois.
