Meet the plant

Diervilla splendens ‘El Madrigal’

Diervilla is a standout plant because of its hardiness, and it’s easy to grow! Nightglow’s foliage is a nice deep burgundy, which is different than most varieties of Diervilla available. Though the flowers are not what makes this plant popular, the yellow beauties on Nightglow, popping against its dark leaves really make it stand out. It has a nice compact habit, meaning it requires little maintenance.

Blooms Blooms: June, July
Exposure Exposure: Full sun
Type Type: Deciduous Shrub

Nightglow Diervilla is tough enough to handle Illinois’ cold winters and hot summers. It will grow in almost any of soil conditions, and helps in areas prone to erosion.
